News & Activities Conferences Dr Leventis Participates in Asian Security Conference, New Delhi

Dr Yiorghos Leventis, Director of International Security Forum - Cyprus, travelled to New Delhi 12-16 February 2012 upon invitation extended by the Indian Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA). He participated in the Energy Security Panel of the 14th Asian Security Conference (ASC) held at the IDSA Headquarters, Development Enclave, New Delhi. IDSA is funded by the Indian Ministry of Defence but functions autonomously. Its Executive Council is presided by Mr. A. K. Anthony, Indian Minister of Defence.
The ISF Cyprus Director delivered his speech on 14 February. The video of Dr Leventis' twenty minute speech entitled Energy Security and Regional Politics: The Eastern Mediterranean Case can be viewed below:

At the margins of the ASC, Dr Leventis held consultations with his opposite number, Dr Arvind Gupta as well as with Dr Rajiv Nayan, Senior Research Associate in Nuclear and Arms Control and a host of other meetings with international colleagues.
Dr Leventis' submitted an extended version of his 14th ASC paper to be included in the IDSA publication of the conference proceedings. The UK publisher Routledge is printing the collective volume. It will be in circulation in June 2012.
